Seniors

Shooting Seniors has been cool.  This allows me to be creative and still work hard at delivering a good image.  Here are some shoots from our photo shoot with Matt. 

Artist/Performer Promotional Work

T-Shep (Gospel Hip Hop Artist) really had a great idea for this shoot.  She knew where she wanted this shot taken, which makes my job a lot easier,,,,,,, sometimes.  The first location didn't have the light we needed, but her second location worked out well.  The concept of the shoot is from a biblical story in the bible (The Damascus Road).  Here are couple of shots. 

Wedding Done!

Okay, we did the wedding and it was great.  Had a great time, enjoyed everyone we met.  The wedding coordinator always kept us in mind and the bride smiled the entire day.  Couldn't ask for more, EXPECT...For me I love the photo shoots.  Placing the light where I want it and finding what works best.  During a wedding you have to take what you're given and make the best of it.  I guess we will see what wedding have in store for us.  I will say this, images in churches look beautiful, and you get people dressed up in beautiful surrounds. 

Ok back to blogging!  I've missed this part of photography.  I guess I will start with a wedding image, we're going back to weddings.  It's a great business to be in and it always keeps me shooting.  So let's go, let's see how things work out.  Hoping for some great images to come out of what we're about to pursue.

Big Sister Little Brothers

Here are some photos of the kids.  Took a while to edit but after I was done it turned out pretty good.  Considering it as one of our logos in the future, we'll see how it things turn out.  Stay tuned.  

Snow Horses

This is a photo that we will use as a Christmas card, I shot this image in Dec of last year but it took me about 5 months to edit it the image exactly the way I wanted it.  Along with portraits we are going to keep our marketing images up as well.  The snow was perfect that morning, the day after Christmas.  

Little Brother-Big Brother

I had the opportunity to photograph two brothers that haven't take photos together in a while.  They did a great job modeling.  Added a little humor to some of the shots which worked out well in some circumstances.  Younger brother on the right, big brother on the left.  

This is what I enjoy, seeing family members smiling!  

Portrait-Mr. Fennell

During our intern our mentor Mr. Fennell allowed us to sneak a photograph in before finishing up.  There were plenty of images I could have used but not that captured his expression quit like this one.  

Adam_Pottery

Canon 50D, Shutter: 1/80, F-Stop: f/8, ISO 100, Lens 24-105mm. 

This was a hobby shot of our good friend Adam from the pottery department here at RCC.  Adam had some great work to display for us and we enjoyed every bit of the photo shoot.  The texture of pottery is something that I would definitely want to shoot again.  

A Beautiful Day

Trying to practice shooting further back with longer lens. Normally I would never shoot with tree branches in the background but this time it looked better with it than without it.  Our model did a great job blending in with the trees.

Mirror Reflection

This was a idea that I got from a friend of ours.  It turned out pretty good.  I'm sure to try this one again.

Shot with a Canon 50D, Lens 24-105mm f/4.0.  Strobe lighting.

Candle Art

Here's a shot I did at the Mock Wedding as well.  Just a little side view of some candle holders.  

Bridal Shots- 3/4 Length

Here is a bridal of our helpful model Jessica.  At first coming up with some creative poses was a challege.  Getting the right pose for the right model will be key in this buisness.  You don't want your bride looking like someone she doesn't reconize nor wanted to represent.  So after about 15 different looks and positions I think we got a couple that worked well.  This one particular Jessica displayed great posture which also helped the image work out. 

Here's another one that worked out pretty good too. 

A Pro In The Making

I think I'm enjoying this whole taking pictures of other people shooting thing.  This is my beautiful wife taking pictures at the Yorktown Bridge in Williamsburg, Virginia.  The original tones were very nice, it wasn't dark enough though.  I was going for a semi silhouette look, and didn't quit hit it.  So in turns I changed the tones and this is what I came up with.  I like it, thought it came out well. 

 

MOCK WEDDING

Here is a shot I caught during the mock wedding of Jennifer Tart taking a photograph of the wedding party from our Mock Wedding.  I'm always trying to get the perfect shot, well this time I just gave up and started taking picture of photo people taking the perfect shot.  It came the way I wanted it to so I accomplished something.  Producing a finished product exactly the way you visualized it is just as important as making visual projects that everybody else wants.  Shoot what you see, and see what you want everybody else to see.
